Small equipment series

  • Duration: 3 separate courses, each 8 hours

  • Prerequisite: MK Pilates Matwork Stage 1 or equivalent experience. Knowledge of modified and original Matwork repertoire is required.

  • Overview: This series splits five accessible pieces of Pilates equipment into three detailed courses. Each course explores the integration of specific equipment into Pilates practice, focusing on class programming, movement adaptation, and incorporating equipment effectively.

  • Courses Include:

  • Stability Ball

  • Isotoner Ring and Resistance Band

  • Hard Foam Roller and Small Ball

  • Content:

  • Equipment-specific movements and safety considerations.

  • Analysis and application of each piece of equipment in group or one-on-one sessions.

  • Development of teaching skills, including verbal communication and observation.

  • Muscular analysis of movements post-equipment incorporation.

  • Workbook assessment with class programming for post-course submission.

  • Outcome: Letter of Attendance and a Certificate of Achievement upon successful workbook completion.
